KICKOLÉ child safety statement
Version 1.0. Last updated 25 October 2026.
KICKOLÉ is a football game that children play. This statement explains how it is designed to keep them safe. It sits alongside our privacy notice and terms of use.
Designed for children by default
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up to and no profile to fill in.
- No personal details are ever asked for — no name, email, age or date of birth.
- No chat and no messaging. Players cannot contact each other.
- No in-app purchases and no coin balances, so there is nothing to spend money on inside the game.
- No advertising, and no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
- No location access. We never ask for GPS or device location.
- No profiling, streaks or behavioural tracking.
The leaderboard
The leaderboard is the only shared feature and it is off until the player taps Join leaderboard.
- A player's display name is a nickname picked from our own word lists, not anything they type freely.
- Those lists are screened for offensive, abusive and identifying words, including blocked word pairs and name-like combinations.
- A nickname can be changed only once every 7 days, which limits use of the board as a messaging channel.
- Report is available on leaderboard entries, with clear reason codes.
- A report is kept for up to 90 days, or longer if it is still open, and is not disclosed to the reported player.
- Players can leave at any time with Delete my leaderboard data.
Safeguarding position
- We do not allow content that sexualises, grooms, bullies or harasses anyone.
- We do not allow sharing of personal contact details, and the nickname system is designed to make that difficult.
- Where we become aware of a safeguarding concern involving a child, we will act on it and will involve the police or the relevant authority where the law or the seriousness of the concern requires it.
- Parents and carers can contact us at hello@iqappsgroup.co.uk about any concern, including a nickname or a leaderboard entry.
What parents and carers should know
- The game can be played entirely offline and without sharing anything.
- If your child joins the leaderboard, the only things shared are a nickname from our lists, a score, a chosen country and a random device id created on the phone.
- There is no way for another player to message your child through the game.
- You can remove your child's leaderboard entry at any time from Settings.
Not a social network
KICKOLÉ is a single-player game with an optional scoreboard. It is not a social network, it has no user-to-user messaging, and it is not an emergency or support service. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. For non-urgent safeguarding advice in the UK, the NSPCC helpline is 0808 800 5000.
